First Topic:
Brief Introduction: Digital Transformation and Developers of the Future
Brandon will discuss modern operational models to develop and deliver great digital experiences. His talk will include how digital and software development leaders should take a customer-focused approach to software development in support of digital transformation efforts. He will talk about how the development of technology is transforming every industry, highlighting a staggering statistic of seventy percent of the companies that were on the fortune 1000 list a mere ten years ago are on it no more. This talk will spotlight how developers have played a role in architecting this rapid change.

First Presenter:
Brandon Dunlap, Sogeti Cloud Practice Manager
Brandon is a seasoned IT professional with executive business decision-making experience. He has proven success in engagement leadership and project management. His background includes developing technology teams, successfully leading high visibility projects under intense timelines, proposing and implementing cloud and disaster recovery solutions. He is responsible for helping his clients increase profitability and improve productivity by optimizing their sales, customer service, and marketing processes. He does this by partnering with his clients to identify challenges and inefficiencies in their core business and IT processes. He consults with clients to rethink current state framework targeting ways to increase profits, eliminate technological inefficiencies and help equip them to compete in an expanding digital market place.

Second Topic:
Elements of an effective software delivery process. The processes and activities required to deliver software efficiently, reduce cycle time and close feedback loops.

Matt will focus on the processes and practices that allow the effective and efficient delivery of software. He’s not here to sell you tools, instead, he’ll talk about the practices that streamline software delivery. He’ll explain how and why in a tool-agnostic approach, covering basic practices that will improve and accelerate your software delivery. No matter what tools you use or environment you work in, his goal is to give you something you can take back to your day job, or side project and make it better.

Second Presenter:
Matt Elmore, Sogeti Sr. Manager & National Solution Architect, DevOps | Cloud
Matt is a thought leader with 30+ years of IT experience, specializing in the process of improving software delivery. He helped develop the DevOps approach and offering of Sogeti USA and has led that effort since the beginning of 2018. His focus is on getting the process defined and building the culture around the process, rather than prescribing tools. He believes DevOps is the logical continuation of agile transformation, bringing agility full circle in the delivery lifecycle.
